Job summary

Young District Hospital & Community Health Services in NSW is seeking a Registered Midwife for a short-term contract to join the maternity team. The role involves hands-on birthing care, supporting mothers and families in a community health setting in Young.

The position starts ASAP and runs for 6 to 12 weeks. Applicants must be AHPRA registered and able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a rural context.

Qualifications

Preferred Requirements

• Current registration as a Midwife with AHPRA
• Demonstrated experience in birthing and labour support

• Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a community health service

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA
• Current CPR and emergency response certification
• Experience working in rural or regional health services is advantageous
