Job summary

Coronado Global Resources Inc. seeks a Risk and Compliance Lead to join the Curragh Complex in Blackwater, QLD. The role focuses on governance, statutory compliance, assurance and safety-system integrity, reporting, and record management.

You will lead governance for HSET management systems, set ownership standards, and align processes with legislation and corporate requirements, while advising senior leaders on risks and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the governance framework for key HSET management systems across the operation.

• Provide strategic advice to the Manager HSET and operational leaders regarding risks, assurance and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor action completion, effectiveness and sustainability.
• Oversee the operation’s Contractor Management Standards.

We are seeking a Systems and Assurance Lead to join our team at the Curragh Complex in Blackwater.

This role will provide support across statutory compliance, assurance and governance activities, helping ensure accurate reporting, effective record management and the integrity of our safety systems.

What You’ll Do

Your role will be interesting and varied and will include:

• Lead the governance framework for key HSET management systems across the operation.
• Establish clear standards for risk and assurance ownership.
• Ensure processes remain aligned with legislative, corporate and operational requirements.
• Provide strategic advice to the Manager HSET and operational leaders regarding risks, assurance and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor action completion, effectiveness and sustainability.
• Oversee the operation’s Contractor Management Standards.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll be organised, detail focused and comfortable working across multiple processes, stakeholders and compliance requirements.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory, leadership or senior specialist capacity.
• Strong understanding of HSET management systems, governance and assurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and leadership capability.
• Experience with Damstra, FPe, ChemAlert and Power BI.
• Experience with contractor management and site access systems.
• Experience with SAP/SuccessFactors.
