NSW Department of Education invites applications for a Right to Access Officer based in Parramatta. The role involves deciding access to information under the GIPA Act and supporting the unit’s administration to ensure compliant, timely service delivery.

Formación

• Knowledge of the GIPA Act and experience processing access applications within statutory timeframes.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills to efficiently manage applications, records, and prepare documentation.
• Strong work ethic and time management skills to excel in a fast-paced, high volume and dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated with an ability to reflect, commit to ongoing learning and respond flexibly to changing circumstances.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including active listening, to provide quality advice and sensitive customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Sound understanding of relevant legislation, procedures, and operational standards to support staff and ensure compliance.
• Proven ability to collaborate, foster positive team relationships, prioritise workload, and contribute to continuous process improvement for effective and timely service delivery.
• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
