Job summary

Linkforce Engineering in Australia seeks several experienced Riggers for shutdown, maintenance and project works across Goldfields sites. This casual FIFO role offers consistent work, competitive rates and long-term career opportunities with a national contractor.

As a Rigger, you will conduct rigging and lifting across shutdowns, maintenance and projects, install and dismantle rigging equipment, and work under lifting plans and permit-to-work systems.

Qualifications

• High Risk Work Licence RI/RA is essential.
• Minimum 12 months rigging experience.
• Certifications: Working at Heights and Confined Space (last 2 years).
• Construction White Card and Australian work rights.
• Current MR/HR driver’s licence preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Police check required for Goldfields mine access.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rigging and lifting across shutdown, maintenance and project scopes.
• Perform complex lifts involving crushers, conveyors, motors, gearboxes and structural components.
• Install and dismantle rigging equipment including chains, slings, and lifting beams.
• Assist with equipment positioning, alignment and component change-outs.
• Work safely under lifting plans, permit-to-work systems and isolation procedures.

About the Role

We are seeking several experienced Riggers to support current and upcoming shutdown, maintenance, and project works across sites in the Goldfields region. In this casual FIFO role, you'll have access to consistent work across our Goldfields sites, competitive rates, and genuine long-term career opportunities with a well-established national contractor.

As a Rigger, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting rigging and lifting activities across shutdown, maintenance, and project scopes.
• Performing complex lifts involving crushers, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and structural components.
• Installing and dismantling rigging equipment, including chain blocks, slings, and lifting beams.
• Assisting with equipment positioning, alignment, and component change-outs.
• Working safely and in strict accordance with lifting plans, permit-to-work systems, and isolation procedures.

About You

We are looking for qualified and safety-focused Riggers who thrive in fast-paced shutdown and maintenance environments.

Essential:

• High Risk Work Licence – RI or RA.
• Minimum 12 months' rigging experience.
• Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications (completed within the last 2 years).
• Construction White Card.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (MR or HR preferred).
• Valid Australian work rights.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
• Ability to pass a Police Check permitting access to Goldfields mine sites.

Highly Desirable:

• Previous mining experience.
• Current Goldfields client inductions.
• Additional high-risk work licences, including EWP or Forklift.
