Job summary

Amentum in Canberra is seeking a Pricing and Costing Expert contractor to support the Air domain's large priority activities for FY 26/27. The role requires senior pricing and financial analysis, with experience in RFT documentation and contract formation.

You will work with the Commercial Division in CASG, CFA, providing specialist pricing advice, performing audits, and guiding junior team members. This is an external contractor position with 40-hour weeks in Canberra.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing RFT documentation related to pricing and costing.
• Ability to perform contract financial audits and pricing analysis.
• Provide pricing guidance to programs and projects, and mentor junior CFA team.

Responsibilities

• Develop pricing and costing for bids and contracts within CASG.
• Produce pricing workbooks and RFT wording for ASDEFCON templates.
• Deliver comprehensive cost analyses and identify financial risks.
• Share knowledge with customers and stakeholders.

Role Title: Pricing and Costing Expert

Role Description: DDG’s Commercial Division in CASG, Commercial and Financial Analysis (CFA) are seeking to engage one external contractor in the Air domain to support large priority activities for the team for FY 26/27.

Essential Requirements:
Experience in the following:

* Development of RFT documentation as they relate to the Pricing and Costing through negotiations and into contract formation.
* Perform various contract financial audits
* Review and Analyse pricing components for Contract Change Proposals
* Provide specialist Pricing and Costing advice to programs and projects
* Provide support and guidance to junior members of the CFA team.

Demonstrable ability to share knowledge with customers and stakeholders

Demonstrability ability to deliver the following:
* Pricing and costing review outcomes highlighting areas of deviations from contractual terms and conditions and Defence policy, identify key financial risks and make recommendations for improvement.
* Pricing workbooks and RFT wording as it related to the pricing and payments of the ASDEFCON templates
* Comprehensive financial analysis report for Contract Change Proposals including detailed cost analysis and justification, assessment of compliance with Defence Cost Principles and the CASG Profit Principles and any recommendations.
