Job summary

Amentum in Canberra is seeking a Pricing and Costing Expert to support the CFA team in the Air domain for FY 26/27. The role focuses on pricing, cost analysis and contract formation with suppliers, under NV1 clearance.

You will develop RFT documentation, conduct financial reviews, assess cost impacts of variations, and advise project teams on commercial matters to enable strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Develop RFT docs for Pricing and Costing through negotiations into contract formation.
• Perform contract reviews and financial audits of supplier information and compliance.
• Assess cost impacts of contract variations and change requests with detailed cost/price analysis.
• Advise project teams on complex commercial, costing and financial matters for strategic decisions.
• Build team capability via knowledge sharing and professional development for analysts.
• Share knowledge with customers and stakeholders.
• Produce pricing models and tender documentation to support procurement including ASDEFCON templates.
• Assess proposed contract amendments against Defence Cost Principles and CASG Profit Principles.

Role Description

DDG’s Commercial Division in CASG, Commercial and Financial Analysis (CFA) are seeking to engage one external contractor in the Air domain to support large priority activities for the team for FY 26/27.

Essential Requirements

• Development of RFT documentation as they relate to the Pricing and Costing through negotiations and into contract formation.
• Performing contract reviews and financial audits to evaluate supplier financial information and contractual compliance.
• Assessing the financial impacts of contract variations and change requests, including detailed analysis of cost and pricing submissions.
• Advising project and program teams on complex commercial, costing, and financial matters to support strategic decision-making.
• Building team capability through knowledge sharing, guidance, and professional development support for emerging analysts.

Demonstrable ability to share knowledge with customers and stakeholders

Demonstrability ability to deliver the following:

• Pricing and costing review outcomes highlighting areas of deviations from contractual terms and conditions and Defence policy, identify key financial risks and make recommendations for improvement.
• Pricing models, and tender documentation to support procurement activities, including the development and maintenance of pricing and costing content within ASDEFCON contract templates.
• Financial assessments of proposed contract amendments and variations, incorporating evaluation of cost impacts, review against Defence Cost Principles and CASG Profit Principles, validation of supporting assumptions, and provision of evidence-based recommendations to support decision-makers.
