Job summary

Motorola Solutions Australia is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to maintain and optimize P25 systems for Victorian metropolitan and regional mobile radio networks. You will provide RF engineering expertise, support microwave links, and contribute to change management, documentation, and on-call coverage in a mission-critical environment across Melbourne region.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Engineering.
• Extensive LMR and microwave propagation experience.
• Digital LMR experience such as Motorola P25.
• Use propagation prediction tools with real-world verification.
• Spectrum measurement and interference analysis experience.
• Experience with multi-network roaming including WiFi roaming.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical operation and maintenance of P25 systems for Victorian MMR and RMR.
• Provide RF technical SME support for main systems and microwave links.
• Escalate as technical point for NOC staff or Field Engineers.
• Create and implement change, problem, knowledge, and test procedures.
• Develop and audit as-built documentation.
• Participate in standby roster and on-call operations.
• Support core systems, consoles, firewalls, routers, switches remotely and onsite.
• Perform maintenance updates and upgrade network components.
