Job summary

Randwick City Council's Financial Services Department is seeking a Temporary Senior Revenue Officer on a max term contract up to 12 months, 35 hours per week, to deliver accurate rating, billing and debt recovery services.

You will process and reconcile income, provide high-quality customer service to residents and businesses, support rating functions, property transactions, refunds and debt recovery to ensure timely revenue collection.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Proficient in Excel and data management.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile Council income, manage banking activities and support accurate financial records and systems.
• Provide high-quality customer service and advice to residents, businesses and internal stakeholders on rates, debtors, licensing and revenue-related matters.
• Support rating functions, property transactions, refunds and debt recovery activities to ensure timely collection of Council revenue.

Salary: $90,038.93 - $103,544.77 per annum + 12% superannuation

About you

• You’ll bring relevant qualifications in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience in an accounting role, along with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• You’ll also have well-developed customer service skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve team and organisational goals.
• You’ll be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to efficiently manage data and financial information.
