Job summary

IRT Australia seeks a Retirement Village Officer at Kangara Waters in Belconnen, ACT. This part-time role is 19 hours per week, with flexible 3-day options (Tue/Thu/Fri or Wed/Thu/Fri) under a fixed-term contract.

You will support the Village Manager with daily operations, activity programs, newsletters, reports, and resident communications, while assisting with site tours and sales inquiries. A welcoming, organised approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Administration, Hospitality and/or experience in Seniors Living, Community Service and/or Customer Relationships.
• Previous administrative experience
• High level verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated excellent organisational skills
• Ability to plan and prioritise own work and work of others to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; troubleshoot basic IT issues; prepare and format newsletters.
• Valid current driver's license and bus license (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities and events, social activities, communications and calendars for the Village.
• Engage with the social committee, creating resident events and newsletters.
• Drive residents to events and shopping centres.
• Attend resident meetings, wellness visits and events, reporting resident issues including complaints.
• Provide reporting and follow up to the Village Manager.
• Assist with daily operations and administration within the retirement village.
• Support the sales process by assisting with site tours and general enquiries.
• Ensure warm welcomes to new residents and visitors to site.
• Assist with site inspections and hazard or maintenance reporting.
• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner
