Bedshed Bunbury is seeking a Retail Supervisor to lead the Bunbury store team. You’ll partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, deliver outstanding customer service and foster a positive team culture across sales, stock, merchandising and daily operations.

You will oversee staff scheduling, stock management, forklift operations and customer deliveries while ensuring safe, accurate POS processing and adherence to all store procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail sales experience; supervisory experience is highly regarded.
• WA driver’s licence and a forklift licence (LF High Risk Work Licence) are required.
• Strong customer service, communication and leadership skills.
• Possess ability to operate POS systems and process sales/purchase orders.
• Available to work weekends and public holidays.
• Physically able to handle bulky stock such as mattresses and furniture.
• Experience in furniture, bedding or big-ticket retail is highly regarded.
• Certificate III or IV in Retail or similar qualification is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Lead by example on the sales floor with sleep consultations and product advice.
• Respond to customer inquiries and handle complaints including delivery, warranty and after-sales follow-up.
• Plan and prepare weekly work schedules and assign staff across sales floor, warehouse and deliveries.
• Support warehouse operations and assist with customer deliveries as required.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, evaluation and staff development; resolve grievances.
• Instruct staff on complex sales procedures such as finance applications and large multi-item orders.
• Examine returned goods and decide on action (exchanges, warranty, damaged stock).
• Take inventory and order new stock; raise and track purchase orders with suppliers.
• Ensure pricing, display and promotions are accurate and updated.
• Enforce safety, forklift operation and opening/closing procedures.
• Supervise POS orders from quote to delivery and check order accuracy.
• Oversee warehouse stock receipts and forklift operation when required.
• Coordinate delivery and pick-up schedules with warehouse and delivery teams.
• Brief team on promotions and monitor store KPIs and sales targets.
• Oversee cash handling and end-of-day banking; act as senior when Store Manager is away.

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Retail Supervisor to support the leadership of our Bunbury store team.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales results, deliver exceptional customer service and help build a cohesive team culture. This is a hands-on role covering sales, stock, merchandising and daily store operations, and you will step in as the senior person in charge when the Store Manager is away. You will also work closely with the warehouse to support receiving, dispatch and customer deliveries.

What you will be doing

• Lead by example on the sales floor with sleep consultations and product advice
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints about goods and services, including delivery issues, warranty claims and after-sales follow-up
• Plan and prepare weekly work schedules and assign staff across the sales floor, warehouse and deliveries
• Support warehouse operations and assist with customer deliveries as required
• Support the interviewing, hiring, training, evaluation and development of staff, and help resolve staff grievances
• Instruct staff on how to handle complex sales procedures, such as finance applications, custom and special orders and large multi-item sales
• Examine returned goods and decide on appropriate action, including comfort exchanges, warranty claims and damaged stock
• Take inventory of goods for sale and order new stock, including raising and tracking purchase orders with suppliers and following up on back orders
• Ensure goods and services are correctly priced and displayed, including setting up promotions, sale events, ticketing and showroom displays
• Ensure safety and security procedures are enforced, including safe manual handling, forklift operation and store opening and closing procedures
• Supervise the processing of customer sales orders in the POS system, from quote through to delivery, and check orders for accuracy
• Oversee the receipt of incoming stock in the warehouse, checking deliveries against purchase orders and operating the forklift when required
• Coordinate customer delivery and pick-up schedules with the warehouse and delivery team
• Brief the team on current promotions and product launches, and monitor individual and store sales targets and KPIs
• Oversee cash handling, end-of-day banking and reporting, and act as the senior person in charge when the Store Manager is away

About you

• At least 1 year of retail sales experience or similar, supervisory experience highly regarded
• Current WA driver’s licence and current forklift licence (LF High Risk Work Licence)
• Strong customer service, communication and leadership skills
• Confident using POS systems and processing sales orders and purchase orders
• Available to work weekends and public holidays
• Physically able to handle bulky stock such as mattresses and furniture (with correct manual handling)
• Experience in furniture, bedding or big-ticket retail highly regarded
• Certificate III or IV in Retail or similar highly regarded
