Today, our range spans bedding, bath and wellness essentials alongside Resting, our dedicated restwear brand for the in-between.

We’re one of Australia’s fastest-growing retail brands, with big plans for what’s next. Behind it all is a passionate, down-to‑earth team obsessed with creating products and experiences you love, while doing better by people and the planet. We are proud to be B Corp Certified.

We're looking for a talented Assistant Store Manager to join our Retail team at our Armadale Store.

About You

About the Role

This role is full-time on a Sunday to Thursday roster. The Assistant Store Manager will work closely alongside our Store Manager to deliver a phenomenal in‑store retail experience for our customers.

This isn’t a typical retail role, but instead an opportunity to bring Sheet Society to life and help shape how we approach retail in the real world. Our stores are purpose built to deliver both a functional shopping experience for our customers and an immersive space that feels just like home. We pride ourselves on delivering a customer experience like no other.

We prioritise connection with our customer and you will too, you will be a style advisor who can be adaptable, a pro at working with customers to create their perfect bed and show creativity, confidence, and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager to recruit, onboard, train and develop a high‑performing team.
  • Assist with rostering, leave management and wage budgets to ensure effective store operations.
  • Communicate business updates, policies and processes clearly, ensuring the team is informed and aligned.

Style, Selling & Service

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through genuine connection, expert product knowledge and styling advice.
  • Lead the team to achieve sales targets, KPIs and operational goals while acting as a passionate brand ambassador.
  • Support the team performance through coaching, feedback and development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the wider business by sharing customer insights and product feedback to enhance the customer experience.

Merchandising & Inventory

  • Maintain exceptional store presentation standards in line with the Sheet Society brand.
  • Support seasonal campaigns, new product launches and monthly merchandising updates.
  • Ensure stock is replenished, inventory is accurate and the sales floor remains beautifully presented.

Operations

  • Support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the store, including stock management, replenishment, click & collect and cycle counts.
  • Work collaboratively with Warehouse, Operations and Customer Service teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Ensure operational tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Skills & Attributes required for this role
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within the retail environment, in a position where you have demonstrated leadership, autonomy and accountability.
  • Passionate about sleep, interiors, design and a love for styling.
  • Sound knowledge of retail operations and customer experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capability to work closely with all departments within the business.
  • A passion to help customers build meaningful moments and of course, their dream bed in our showroom.
  • You are self‑motivated and a team player, you love to see everyone succeed, and have fun in the process.
  • Inventory management experience and the passion to look for efficiencies within retail operations.
  • You have an interest in visual merchandising as a sales driver and a brand experience, and are keen to explore this area further.
