Job summary

Panda Mart is seeking a Store Manager to oversee daily store operations in Melbourne and lead a team to deliver excellent customer service. You will manage rostering, training, recruitment and ongoing staff development while maintaining store presentation and inventory control.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work weekends and public holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as Store Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of retail operations, inventory management and customer service.
• Ability to manage staff, solve day-to-day problems and work independently.
• Attention to detail and keeping a well-organised store.
• Good English communication skills and valid Australian working rights.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Lead, supervise and support store staff, including rostering, training and performance management.
• Assist with staff recruitment, interviews, onboarding and training of new employees.
• Handle general store administration, staff records, routine reports and daily operational matters.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, store presentation, cleanliness and organisation.
• Manage merchandise displays, stock availability, replenishment and inventory control.
• Assist with in-store promotions, seasonal displays and merchandising activities.
• Monitor store sales, operational performance and cost efficiency.
• Identify operational problems and suggest practical improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements and retail procedures.
