Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in retail management or supervisory role.
• Effective leadership, staff supervision and team coordination.

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy retail environment.
• Practical understanding of stock control and inventory procedures.
• Experience in fresh produce retail, groceries or supermarkets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, coordinate and manage day-to-day activities and operations of the retail store.
• Supervise and lead store employees, including hiring, staff training, roster preparation, performance reviews and professional development.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Track stock availability, organise inventory replenishment and implement measures to reduce stock losses and wastage.
• Ensure fresh produce is properly stored, presented and displayed in accordance with quality and freshness standards.
• Control store expenditure, manage budgets and monitor sales objectives and overall financial results.
• Develop and implement pricing plans, special offers and promotional campaigns to increase sales.
• Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety requirements, food safety standards and internal company procedures.
• Handle customer concerns, enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Compile and review sales figures, stock reports and operational performance records for management.
• Ensure the retail premises remain clean, orderly and safe for employees and customers.
