Job summary

Fresh & Save Morayfield is seeking a highly motivated Fresh Produce Manager to lead the Produce department in our fast-paced retail environment.

You will oversee produce handling, merchandising, supplier relations, and stock control, while training staff and upholding Food Safety and WH&S standards. A current forklift licence and hands-on leadership style are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Produce Management experience.
• Extensive experience in produce handling, merchandising & display building.
• Forklift licence is required.
• Food Safety and WH&S knowledge is expected.
• Strong customer service and team leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Produce department in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Manage supplier relationships, stock levels and merchandising.
• Ensure product quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Train and supervise the Produce team and rostering.

Experienced Fresh Produce Manager

Salary Package - 45 hours (Sun-Thurs)

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands‑on Fresh Produce Manager to lead the Produce department within our fast-paced retail environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key attributes:

• 3+ Years of Produce Management Experience


• Extensive experience in produce handling, merchandising & display building.


• Keen eye for product quality.


• Experience in purchasing from multiple suppliers.


• Understanding of shrink minimisation principles


• Understand financial reporting, including budget vs. actual performance, gross profit and wage control.


• Understanding the importance of stock accuracy and stocktaking processes.


• Excellent planning and organisational skills.


• Ability to recognise & resolve issues promptly.


• Computer Literate with experience using POS programs, rostering systems, and Microsoft Office Suite


• Ability to manage a team, including training, direction, & follow up.


• Excellent communication skills with team members and senior management.


• Provide helpful and efficient customer service while modelling appropriate behaviours


• Positive, hands‑on approach with the ability to lead by example


• Physically fit and enjoys hands‑on work


• Understanding of Food Safety and Work Health & Safety requirements


• Current Forklift Licence.
