Job summary

Save the Children Australia in Adelaide is seeking a Retail Store Manager for the Glenelg East Op Shop. You will lead a team of volunteers, coach them to deliver outstanding customer service and hit store targets while driving local marketing campaigns.

You’ll manage the volunteer roster, collaborate with the retail team and push sales to maximise profits and support life-changing programs.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in retail or volunteer roles.
• Experience mentoring and coaching volunteers to deliver great service.
• Strong customer service ethos with ability to train others.
• Experience planning and executing local marketing campaigns.
• Ability to manage volunteer rosters and cover shifts.
• Track record of driving sales and maximizing store profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a diverse team of volunteers to achieve store targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Provide ongoing coaching, training and support for volunteers to improve performance.
• Assist in developing and executing local marketing campaigns and promotions to boost footfall and sales.
• Manage the volunteer roster to ensure adequate shift coverage and smooth store operations.
• Collaborate with the retail team to drive sales and maximise profits while maintaining compliance.
• Support late night shopping and other local store promotions as required.
