Job summary

Save the Children Australia is seeking a collaborative and compassionate leader for a part-time Perth Metro role in Kelmscott. You will mentor and lead a high-performing team to provide safe, responsive and culturally informed support to children, families and caregivers.

You will champion children’s voices, build staff capability, and ensure services comply with funding, policy and best-practice frameworks while partnering with communities to improve outcomes.

In this part-time role (30.4 hours per week - Mon, Tues, Thurs & Friday - 7.6 hrs per day) maximum term role (till 30 th June, 2028) you’ll work as a part of our Perth Metro team located in Kelmscott to help us create lasting change for children everywhere.

You will make a difference by

  • Leading, coaching, and supporting a high-performing team to deliver safe, high-quality, and child-centred services.
  • Building the capability, wellbeing, and professional development of team members through effective supervision, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Ensuring services are delivered in line with organisational policies, funding requirements, legislative obligations, and best-practice frameworks.
  • Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with children, families, communities, and key stakeholders to improve outcomes and strengthen service integration.
  • Monitoring service delivery, resources, and program performance to ensure positive outcomes for children, young people, and families.

  • A commitment to strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally safe, and child-centred practice, ensuring the needs and voices of children, young people, and families remain at the heart of service delivery.
