Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland in Cairns is seeking a Retail Manager to lead our new shop at Cairns Showgrounds. This permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week) requires hands-on leadership to deliver a compelling shopping experience and drive sustainable fashion initiatives.

You will motivate a team, manage retail operations, and ensure excellent service while building community connections with volunteers and companions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in retail management
• Experience leading a team to achieve key targets and operational outcomes
• Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, leadership, growth and sustainability
• Passion for sustainable fashion and repurposing with purpose
• Ability to engage volunteers and work with a diverse team

The Role

We are looking for our newest team member to support and manage our newest shop in Cairns.

This is a hands-on role, and no two days will be the same. Our Retail Managers are passionate about sustainable fashion, business, and providing a unique shopping experience.

They are skilled professionals who bring their leadership and innovative thinking, to oversee retail operations, promote growth, implement best practice, and ensure our local retail footprint remains sustainable. They understand that personalised and engaging customer service is key and are committed to the meaningful development of their team and local community.

This is a Permanent, Full-time position (38 hours per week) role based in Cairns Showgrounds.
