Job summary

Munro Footwear Group, a national footwear retailer, seeks a Retail Stocktake Specialist to lead RFID stocktake programs across our stores and distribution network. You will coordinate processes, monitor results and investigate discrepancies to reduce stock loss and strengthen inventory integrity.

Working with Retail, Finance, Supply Chain and Technology teams, you will analyse data, identify improvement opportunities and support month-end reporting while maintaining strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or managing stocktakes, ideally within a multi-site retail environment.
• Hands-on experience with RFID technology and an understanding of how it supports stocktakes and inventory accuracy – essential.
• Strong understanding of stock control, inventory accuracy, stock discrepancies and loss prevention, within a retail environment.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate stock variances, identify root causes and implement practical improvements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret stocktake results and large data sets.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using inventory management or reporting systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across retail stores and support office teams.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate RFID stocktake programs across our retail stores and distribution operations, ensuring accurate and efficient execution.
• Monitor stocktake results, investigate discrepancies and identify the root causes of stock variances, shrinkage and stock loss.
• Analyse stocktake data and inventory trends to identify risks, improve stock accuracy and recommend practical solutions.
• Partner with Retail, Finance and Logistics teams to resolve stock integrity issues and improve stocktake processes.
• Monitor and report on key stocktake and inventory accuracy metrics, providing insights to support business decisions.
• Support month-end and year-end inventory reporting, reconciliations and audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline stocktake procedures, improve operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement across the business.

At Munro Footwear Group (MFG), we're looking for a Retail Stocktake Specialist to play a key role in managing and improving stocktake processes across our national retail network.

You'll be responsible for coordinating stocktake activities, improving stock accuracy and investigating discrepancies to help minimise stock loss and strengthen inventory integrity across the business.

Working closely with our Retail, Finance, Supply Chain and Technology teams, you'll use RFID technology and inventory data to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve stock-related challenges and support more accurate and efficient stocktake processes.

Please note: This is a Support Office-based role requiring you to be on site four days per week.
