Job summary

White Fisheries Pty Ltd is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Summer Casual Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in a busy fish shop environment. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help with fresh fish preparation and display upkeep.

The role requires flexibility, with 10-15 hours per week and Saturday availability, plus a focus on delivering excellent service and maintaining store standards. Prior retail experience is helpful but not essential due to training provided.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and customer service would be ideal, however is not necessary as training is provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: greet customers, answer product inquiries, and offer product recommendations.
• Sales Support: drive sales, meet daily targets, and upsell/promote products where appropriate.
• Stock Management: receive, organize, and replenish stock on the sales floor, maintain displays.
• Visual Merchandising: keep store displays tidy, appealing, and fully stocked.
• Point of Sale: operate the cash register, process payments, and handle returns.
• Product Knowledge: stay updated on products, promotions, and services.
• Store Cleanliness: keep sales floor, stockroom, and customer areas clean and organized.

We are looking for a Summer Casual that is friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Retail sales assistant to join our team. We have 10-15 hours available & you must be flexible and available Saturdays. As a key part of the store's front-line staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, processing transactions, assist with handling, packing, and preparing fresh fish and seafood products. Also ensuring the store is clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering product inquiries, and offering product recommendations.

Sales Support: Actively engage with customers to drive sales, meet daily targets, and up sell/promote products when appropriate.

Stock Management: Assist with receiving, organizing, and replenishing stock on the sales floor, ensuring that displays are well-maintained and products are easy to locate.

Visual Merchandising: Ensure that store displays are tidy, visually appealing, and fully stocked in line with company standards.

Point of Sale: Operate the cash register, process transactions, handle payments, and manage returns.

Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the store's product range, promotions, and services to assist customers effectively and enhance sales.

Store Cleanliness: Keep the sales floor, stockroom, and customer areas clean and organized.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and a harmonious work environment.

Compliance: Follow store policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to safety standards and company guidelines.

Experience & Qualifications:
