Job summary

Sydney Tools is opening a brand-new Rockhampton store and seeks a motivated Trade Retail Salesperson. You will report to the Store Manager, assisting customers with over-the-counter and phone sales and sharing information on current promotions.

We welcome tradies looking to move into retail; expect ongoing supplier product training, stock merchandising duties, and opportunities for career progression in a market-leading tools retailer. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, retail, or a relevant trade.
• Desire to achieve individual and store targets.
• Genuine interest in tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with basic computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Process over-the-counter and phone sales transactions.

We are seeking a motivated Trade Retail Salesperson to join our team. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will ideally have previous experience in sales, retail, or a trade background. We are especially keen to hear from tradies looking to put down the tools and transition into retail!

Your Daily Responsibilities

• Processing over-the-counter and phone sales transactions
• Informing customers about current promotions and special offers
• Handling customer queries or complaints and offering practical solutions
• Managing merchandising and store displays
• Participating in regular training and development to improve product knowledge and sales skills
• Requirement: Must be available to work at least one weekend day per week
