1001 Optometry Penrith is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant to join our luxury boutique on the shop floor. You will greet customers, assist with frame styling and the patient journey, and provide dispensing support under supervision.

This full‑time role offers hands‑on training, a chance to grow within a premium eyewear brand, and the opportunity to work with a small, team‑minded squad across our Penrith network. Weekend and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous optical or luxury retail experience is valued, not required.
• We will train the right person.

About the role

We are looking for a Retail Sales Assistant / Optical Dispenser to join our Penrith boutique. This is a full-time role on the shop floor, supporting patients and customers through their eyewear journey, from greeting and styling through to dispensing support and aftercare.

You will work closely with the store team and optometrists, and you will be part of a business that serves a diverse local community.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver a warm, high-end customer experience on the shop floor
• Assist with frame styling, sales and the full patient journey

• Keep the boutique presentation to 1001 standard
• Help with daily store operations, including stock, merchandising and admin

About you

• Confident, motivated and comfortable on a busy shop floor
• A genuine interest in fashion, service and people
• Organised, reliable and able to work as part of a small team
• Happy to learn optical retail and our house brands
• Available for retail hours, including weekends, public holidays, and as rostered

Previous optical or luxury retail experience is valued, not required. We will train the right person.
