1001 Optometry is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant for our Bondi Junction boutique. This full-time role supports patients through their eyewear journey—from greeting and styling to dispensing support and aftercare. You will work with the store team and optometrists in a busy Westfield location serving a diverse local community.

Qualifications

• Experience in premium eyewear or boutique retail preferred.
• Comfortable on busy shop floors while delivering high-end service.
• Willingness to learn optical retail and house brands.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, high-end customer experience on the shop floor.
• Assist with frame styling, sales and the full patient journey.
• Support optometrists and the team with dispensing, collections and aftercare.
• Keep the boutique presentation to 1001 standard.
• Help with daily store operations, including stock, merchandising and admin.
• Build relationships with returning patients and Westfield shoppers.

About the role

We are looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to join our Bondi Junction boutique. This is a full-time role on the shop floor, supporting patients and customers through their eyewear journey, from greeting and styling through to dispensing support and aftercare.

You will work closely with the store team and optometrists, and you will be part of a busy Westfield store that serves a diverse local community.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver a warm, high-end customer experience on the shop floor


• Assist with frame styling, sales and the full patient journey


• Support optometrists and the team with dispensing, collections and aftercare


• Keep the boutique presentation to 1001 standard


• Help with daily store operations, including stock, merchandising and admin


• Build relationships with returning patients and Westfield shoppers

About you

• Confident, motivated and comfortable on a busy shop floor


• A genuine interest in fashion, service and people


• Organised, reliable and able to work as part of a small team


• Happy to learn optical retail and our house brands


• Available for full-time retail hours, including weekends and public holidays


• Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking is an advantage


• Previous optical or specialty-retail experience is valued, but not required. We will provide training to the right person.
