Job summary

Petstock South Mackay and Petstock North Mackay are looking for friendly team members who share a love for animals and top-notch customer service. Join a store built on care for pets, people and the planet, in a community-focused business with heart.

In this role you will help customers choose the best care and products for their pets, complete sales transactions, keep shelves tidy and stock replenished, and contribute to a positive, safety-focused team culture.

Qualifications

• Passion for animals and customer service.
• Experience in a similar retail environment.
• Drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and the team.
• Physically fit to lift products up to 20kg.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Through the knowledge you gain, you will inspire and educate customers on the best care and products for their pets
• Complete memorable sales transactions, aiming to reach set store sales goals
• Maintain a consistently high standard of store presentation while ensuring that new stock is promptly and accurately displayed whilst also ensuring we are replenishing our stock
• Demonstrate initiative by actively keeping your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services current
• Contribute to a fun, supportive culture instore where the team loves coming to work each and every day
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team
