Job summary

Petstock Group in Sydney is seeking a customer-focused team member to deliver exceptional service for pets and their owners. You will help customers choose the best products, learn about pet care, and ensure smooth checkout experiences.

You will join a supportive team with opportunities for growth, weekend flexibility, and a strong focus on pet welfare and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and deliver great service.
• Physically able to lift products and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service in-store for pets and products.
• Educate customers on pet care and product recommendations.
• Complete memorable sales transactions and reach store sales goals.
• Maintain high standard of store presentation and stock replenishment.
• Keep up-to-date on products and pet care to advise customers accurately.
• Contribute to a fun, supportive in-store culture and teamwork.
• Commit to strong safety practices within the store.

A Peek Into Your Petstock Day

• Provide exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Through the knowledge you gain, you will inspire and educate customers on the best care and products for their pets
• Complete memorable sales transactions, aiming to reach set store sales goals
• Maintain a consistently high standard of store presentation while ensuring that new stock is promptly and accurately displayed whilst also ensuring we are replenishing our stock
• Demonstrate initiative by actively keeping your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services current
• Contribute to a fun, supportive culture instore where the team loves coming to work each and every day
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team

• A passion for animals and providing the best customer service
• Experience in a similar retail environment
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales target
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and rapport with customers and the team
• Physically fit, with ability to lift products up to 20kgs
• Flexibility and ability to work weekends and public holidays
