Job summary

Baby Bunting Cairns is hiring a Retail Sales Assistant to deliver exceptional customer service and support new and expectant parents. You will engage customers, demonstrate products, manage stock, and adapt to a rotating roster across weekdays, evenings and weekends.

The role is permanent part-time in Cairns with RSA rosters and a focus on creating a welcoming in-store experience. Training and career development opportunities are provided.

Multiple Rosters

RSA 1: Friday 12:30pm–5:30pm | Saturday 9:00am–5:30pm

RSA 2: Monday 1:00pm–6:00pm | Saturday 10:30am–5:30pm | Sunday 9:00am–4:00pm

RSA 3: Tuesday 11:00am–3:00pm | Wednesday 11:00am–3:00pm | Saturday 10:00am–4:30pm

About the Role

As a Retail Sales Assistant, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, fostering a positive shopping experience, and supporting new and expectant parents on their journey. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and thrives in a dynamic retail environment.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Customer Engagement – Connect with and understand the needs of new and expectant parents, providing personalised assistance and product recommendations.
• Product Demonstration – Guide customers through product features and benefits, ensuring they make informed choices.
• Stock Management – Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure the store is well-presented and organised.
• Flexible Scheduling – Work a rotating roster of flexible shifts across weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

About You

You’re a proactive and approachable individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You have a genuine passion for helping others and delivering exceptional customer service.

What you bring to the team:

• Prior Customer Service Experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High Standards in customer service and store presentation.
• Proficient in calming irate customers and resolving issues with empathy and professionalism.

Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 15kgs between floor and shoulder, 10kgs above shoulder height. Ability to wear a headset to communicate with the team on the shop floor. Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
