Baby Bunting Pty in Cairns is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant to deliver exceptional customer service to new and expectant parents in our busy store.

You will demonstrate products, engage customers, manage stock, and work a rotating part-time roster across weekdays and weekends. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and bring a friendly, can-do attitude to help families find the right baby products.

With plenty of nearby lunch and coffee spots, it’s a practical and convenient location to work.

RSA 1: Friday 10:00am–3:00pm | Saturday 10:00am–3:00pm

RSA 2: Sunday 10:00am–3:00pm | Monday 10:00am–3:00pm

About the Role

As a Retail Sales Assistant, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, fostering a positive shopping experience, and supporting new and expectant parents on their journey. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and thrives in a dynamic retail environment.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Customer Engagement – Connect with and understand the needs of new and expectant parents, providing personalised assistance and product recommendations.
• Product Demonstration – Guide customers through product features and benefits, ensuring they make informed choices.
• Stock Management – Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure the store is well-presented and organised.
• Flexible Scheduling – Work a rotating roster of flexible shifts across weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

About You

You’re a proactive and approachable individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You have a genuine passion for helping others and delivering exceptional customer service.

What you bring to the team

• Prior Customer Service Experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High Standards in customer service and store presentation.
• Proficient in calming irate customers and resolving issues with empathy and professionalism.
• Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 15kgs between floor and shoulder, 10kgs above shoulder height. Ability to wear a headset to communicate with the team on the shop floor. Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
