Baby Bunting is Australia’s largest nursery retailer, and we’re expanding our team at the Orange Homemaker Centre. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you’ll deliver exceptional customer service, help new and expectant parents, demonstrate products, and keep the store welcoming and well-presented.

You’ll work a rotating roster with RSA shifts, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. If you enjoy fast-paced retail and making a real difference in families’ shopping experiences, apply now.

Located in the Orange Homemaker Centre on Mitchell Highway, this store is part of a convenient retail precinct surrounded by home, lifestyle and everyday retailers, creating a welcoming environment for staff and customers. The location is easily accessible by car with free onsite parking available, and is supported by local transport options. With nearby cafés, takeaway options and shopping facilities, there are plenty of choices for lunch and coffee breaks during the workday.

• RSA 2: Monday 11:00am–3:00pm | Tuesday 1:45pm–5:45pm | Sunday 11:00am–3:00pm
• RSA 3: Monday 10:30am–2:30pm | Thursday 8:30am–12:30pm | Sunday 1:00pm–5:00pm
• RSA 4: Wednesday 8:30am–12:30pm | Friday 8:30am–12:30pm | Saturday 12:00pm–4:00pm

About the Role

As a Retail Sales Assistant, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, fostering a positive shopping experience, and supporting new and expectant parents on their journey. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and thrives in a dynamic retail environment.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Customer Engagement – Connect with and understand the needs of new and expectant parents, providing personalised assistance and product recommendations.
• Product Demonstration – Guide customers through product features and benefits, ensuring they make informed choices.
• Stock Management – Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure the store is well-presented and organised.
• Flexible Scheduling – Work a rotating roster of flexible shifts across weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

About You

You’re a proactive and approachable individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You have a genuine passion for helping others and delivering exceptional customer service.

What you bring to the team

• Prior Customer Service Experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High Standards in customer service and store presentation.
• Proficient in calming irate customers and resolving issues with empathy and professionalism.
• Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 15kgs between floor and shoulder, 10kgs above shoulder height. Ability to wear a headset to communicate with the team on the shop floor. Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
