Job summary

Australia Post Buddina is seeking a Retail Postage Sorter on a casual basis to help keep millions of Australians connected. You will sort mail and parcels, assist customers collecting items, and support stocktaking and records, with training 6-8 weeks from 5:30am to 5:30pm.

Rostered shifts across Buddina, Buderim, Maroochydore, Caloundra, Sippy Downs, Maleny and Mooloolaba; meet required lifts up to 16kg and work outdoors.

About the opportunity

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail and parcels comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.

You’ll be

• Manually sorting all mail and parcels arriving at the workplace
• Sort and distribute mail to the appropriate PO Boxes
• Support administrative activities, including stocktaking and maintaining records
• Deliver exceptional customer service to customers collecting parcels and mail items

• Pay RateCommencing on a competitive loaded casual rate of $35.83 / hour for approx. 3 months, then increasing to $38.31/ hour + 12% Superannuation.
• Training Paid training, approx. 6-8 weeks, Monday - Friday, usually 3 hours each day, between 5.30am - 5.30 pm
• Hours pmOnce training has been completed, hours may be rostered in advance, or you may be called in at short notice to cover sick leave. You will need to be fully available, Monday - Friday, between 5.30am - 5.30 pm
• Location This is a relief based role, shifts will be rostered at Buddina, Buderim, Maroochydore Business Centre, Caloundra, Sippy Downs, Maleny and Mooloolaba, please consider travel when applying

You’ll also need to

• Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting
• Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly and stand for your shift
