Job summary

Gough Recruitment represents a well-established property investor seeking a Portfolio Operations Manager to oversee a Queensland retail asset portfolio. You will drive day-to-day operations, safety compliance, and capital works while collaborating with leasing and asset teams to sustain high performance.

Lead contractor management, optimize budgets and champion sustainability across multiple centres, ensuring centres meet strict standards and long-term value creation.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations or facilities management within retail/shopping centres or large-scale assets.
• Strong understanding of building services, contractor management and compliance.
• Experience managing maintenance programs, capital works and budgets.
• Excellent knowledge of WHS, statutory compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facilities and operational management across a Queensland retail portfolio.
• Oversee preventative maintenance, repairs and contractor performance.
• Coordinate capital works projects and input into asset lifecycle planning.
• Manage operational budgets and monitor expenditure.
• Drive WHS, fire safety, statutory obligations and risk management.
• Lead sustainability initiatives including waste and environmental projects.
• Oversee tenancy coordination and retailer fit-outs, ensuring centre standards.
• Maintain contractor management systems, asset registers and documentation.
• Build strong relationships with retailers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
