This permanent full-time role involves mentoring staff, coordinating hiring and training, ensuring customer service excellence, and maintaining a safe, well-stocked showroom and warehouse.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in retail supervisory or assistant management role, preferably within home improvement, hardware or design sectors.
• Understanding of advanced sales principles, customer service practices and team leadership.
• Good level of computer literacy and MS applications.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day store and showroom operations.
• Assist the Store Manager with daily operations, staff rostering, and performance management.
• Mentor and support team members to achieve individual and store targets.
• Action staff hiring, promotions and disciplinary procedures where required.
• Ensure thorough induction and training for all new staff members.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and maintaining a fully stocked store.
• Manage the receipt and distribution of shipments.
• Maintain showroom and warehouse ensuring it is kept clean and safe.
