Job summary

ALDI Stores in Melbourne is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales, and inspire the team to deliver excellent customer service. You’ll support the Store Manager across rostering, reporting and multi-million-dollar store performance.

You’ll train and coach team members, uphold safety standards, manage stock, and collaborate on merchandising. A rotating roster includes weekends; five weeks of annual leave is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication to inspire teammates and delight customers.
• Proven ability to train and coach staff to perform at their best.
• Capability to support the Store Manager and execute ALDI policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop the next generation of store leaders through training and coaching.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and well-presented.
• Manage stock, monitor inventory, and minimise losses.
• Assist with registers, shelving, and merchandising special buys.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement ideas.
• Run the store when the Store Manager is on leave.
