ActewAGL Distribution seeks an experienced Financial Controller Retail to lead financial reporting across the Retail partnership and deliver commercial insights for performance and growth. Reporting to the Group Manager Commercial Services Retail, you will manage month-end close, balance sheet integrity, and budgeting while mentoring the Retail Finance team.

This role blends technical accounting with business partnering in a dynamic retail environment, offering a salary from AUD 151928 plus 15%

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in a senior financial or management accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Retail financial reporting integrity and accuracy.
• Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and GL integrity.
• Deliver analysis of revenue, margins and costs; identify trends and risks.
• Prepare and manage monthly Business Performance Reporting.
• Oversee year-end audits and statutory reporting.
• Provide technical accounting advice on strategic initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders across Retail Finance, Planning & Analysis, Billing, Treasury and broader business teams.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes and controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management activities.
• Lead, mentor and develop members of the Retail Finance team.
