Job summary

MPAU Finance in Melbourne’s inner suburbs seeks a Financial Controller to lead group reporting and external reporting in a fast-paced ASX-listed retail environment. You will deliver board papers, executive commentary and partner with investor relations, while mentoring a capable accounting team.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field plus a CA/CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Senior finance professional with strong background in group reporting or external reporting.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to interpret complex financial information.
• Proven experience preparing Board papers, executive reporting packs and senior-level commentary.
• Retail industry experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including managing and developing a team of direct reports.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience supporting investor relations or working within an ASX-listed environment preferable.
• Comfortable working at pace while juggling multiple high-profile priorities and deadlines.
