Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Department Manager to lead daily operations, sales and high-volume stock in a busy department. You will manage 20+ team members, train staff, ensure safety culture and deliver the Best Experience to customers while maintaining our Widest Range and Best Prices.

You will oversee rostering, performance conversations and KPI delivery, opening/closing roles, and collaboration with Merchandising, Store Leadership and Health & Safety teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams with a focus on safety and wellbeing.
• Ability to develop teams and maintain a healthy work environment.
• Understanding KPI goals and exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead 20+ team members to deliver best customer experience and safe operations.
• Open and close the store on weekdays and weekends as duty manager.
• Roster planning and scheduling to meet service promises and metrics.
• Drive department sales through merchandising and stock accuracy.
• Address customer feedback to improve end‑to‑end experience.
