Job summary

Reece Group in Mackay is seeking a customer-focused team member for our Trade Counter. You will assist engineers, project managers and tradespeople with product information, quotes, and stock handling to keep the branch running smoothly.

The role offers growth opportunities within our network, with weekend shifts and ongoing training to develop your career in the plumbing industry.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales or customer service.
• Ability to pick orders, maintain shop floor displays, and ensure information is accurate.
• Able to use a computer and learn new systems.
• Clean, valid driver’s licence and willingness to work various shifts, including weekends.

About the role

As part of the Trade Counter team in Mackay, you’ll help engineers, project managers and other tradespeople access the products they need to maintain essential services, as well as undertaking other tasks that keep customers happy and the branch running smoothly. This role is specifically hoping to find an individual whose got leadership potential and a growth mindset.

A typical day will involve:

• Providing customer service and information about products
• Providing quotes both in person and over the phone
• Undertaking pick packing and stock control activities
• Helping keep the branch tidy and safe
• Making occasional deliveries to customers using a company vehicle

We’d love to hear from you if you’re someone who:

• Has previous experience in retail sales or customer service and enjoys helping customers both in person and over the phone
• Can pick orders, maintain shop floor displays and ensure information provided is accurate
• Can use a computer and is happy to learn new systems
• Has a clean valid driver’s licence and is open to working various shifts, including weekends
• Wants to develop their career - either locally, within our network or head office
