Job summary

PUMA Australia in Melbourne is seeking an Allocator to join our Retail Planning team. You’ll manage inventory allocation across stores, using sales and stock insights to optimise stock availability and support commercial outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in Allocation or related retail roles, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or JDA. A fast-paced, collaborative environment awaits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in Allocation, Merchandise Planning, Inventory Management or a related retail function.
• Experience in fast-paced, multi-site retail environment.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDA or similar.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capability.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of inventory allocation activities across the retail network.
• Allocate products to stores using sales and inventory insights.
• Review stock levels and identify allocation opportunities.
• Respond to changing sales trends and trading performance.
• Support stock optimisation across the store network.
• Maintain replenishment processes and resolve stock shortages and overstock risks.
• Support timely replenishment of key and promotional product lines.
• Optimise inventory availability across stores.
