Job summary

RecruitShop is seeking a Restoration Technician in Hemmant to support disaster recovery and cleanup projects across the region. You will perform hands-on restoration tasks, including cleaning, sanitising, and documentation to ensure quality results at every site.

The role offers on-site work with opportunities for overtime, ongoing training, and career progression. A driver’s license and ability to handle physical work are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and physical fitness for hands-on cleanup tasks.
• Good general computer skills, including claims reporting software for job documentation.
• Ability to work safely in restoration environments.
• Experience with tools is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise affected sites to a high standard.
• Attend water, fire, and biohazard cleanup jobs as required.
• Apply restoration knowledge to each job.
• Remove and manage affected carpet and vinyl materials during restoration.
• Document each job using claims reporting software and follow reporting requirements.

About the Company

Our client is a restoration-focused service provider supporting clients through disaster recovery and clean-up. The role is based in Hemmant and covers local service jobs across the region, supporting customers with safe, thorough restoration work following incidents such as water damage, fire damage, and biohazard contamination.

About the Opportunity

As a Restoration Technician, you will attend disaster recovery and clean-up jobs, carry out assigned restoration tasks to a high standard, and maintain accurate job documentation throughout each service. The position includes hands‑on cleaning and sanitising work, controlled removal of affected materials, and on‑site problem‑solving to ensure affected areas are treated appropriately.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Clean and sanitise affected sites to a high standard
• Attend water damage, fire damage, and biohazard clean‑up jobs as required
• Apply technical knowledge of restoration processes to each job
• Remove and manage affected carpet and vinyl materials during the restoration process
• Document each job throughout the process using claims reporting software and follow job reporting requirements

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A valid driver’s licence and the physical fitness for hands‑on clean‑up and removal tasks
• Good general computer skills, including proficiency with claims reporting software for job documentation and reporting
• The ability to work safely and responsibly in restoration environments
• Experience using tools (preferred, not essential)
• A strong work ethic, punctuality and a positive attitude
