Job summary

RAA is transforming into an AI-first organisation, embedding governance and risk across its AI Hub. As Governance & Risk Lead, AI, you will shape frameworks to ensure safe, ethical AI adoption while protecting member trust and privacy.

You’ll partner across legal, privacy, cyber security and audit to keep innovation compliant and accountable. You’ll drive risk assessments, incident response planning and governance controls throughout the AI lifecycle, balancing regulatory demands with a proven

Qualifications

• Demonstrated AI governance, risk management or compliance experience in a complex organisation.
• Experience creating governance frameworks, policies or standards for emerging tech.
• Experience partnering with legal, privacy, cyber security, risk and audit teams.
• Experience conducting risk or ethical impact assessments for tech/AI initiatives.
• Strong AI risk domain knowledge: privacy, bias, transparency, security, explainability.
• Analytical and judgement skills balancing risk with innovation.
• Tertiary qualification in Law / Risk Management / IT / Data Science / Business; CIPP/CRISC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure AI is adopted safely, ethically and responsibly across RAA.
• Develop and oversee governance, risk and compliance frameworks for AI adoption.
• Collaborate with AI Hub, business units and control functions to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance on responsible AI practices and manage AI-related incidents.
• Balance innovation with responsibility across the AI lifecycle.
