Job summary

Origin Energy Limited in Melbourne CBD is recruiting a Response Officer to handle inbound safety, emergency, fault and welfare-monitoring calls across essential-service sectors. The role requires calm communication and precise information gathering under pressure.

You will work full-time onsite on a rotating roster, 38 hours per week, with shifts between early morning and late evening, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy inbound contact-centre or response environment.
• Ability to work across multiple computer systems while speaking with callers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound emergency, fault, safety and welfare-monitoring calls.
• Ask clear questions and record information accurately.
• Enter information into multiple systems while speaking with callers.
• Process updates and changes for active incidents within regulatory timelines.
• Dispatch service orders to field teams within contractual timeframes.
• Escalate incidents presenting safety or operational risk.
• Keep callers informed with a calm, professional experience.
• Follow documented processes and compliance requirements.
• Work closely with Dispatchers and Senior Response Officers.
