Job summary

NSW Health in Sydney is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to coordinate the Respiratory Protection Program (RPP). The CNS2 will facilitate training, liaise with stakeholders, and coordinate annual staff assessments to support new assessors and ensure program quality.

The role involves autonomy in decision making, supervision of RPP testers, and ongoing development of RPP policies, procedures and data reporting for program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Current nursing registration with relevant authority.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) in the SCHN Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) will be responsible for the ongoing facilitation of the SCHN RPP.
The CNS 2 is required to:

• Develop, plan and deliver the SCHN Fit Training Assessor Training program as guided by the Clinical Excellence Commission.
• Be responsible for consulting, collaborating, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to identify specific educational and fit testing needs.
• Coordinate annual staff assessments and support new assessors.
• Exercise extended autonomy of decision making while working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.
• Supervise and support RPP Fit Test Assessors within the SCHN
• Support the development and review of SCHN RPP policies, procedures, and standards.
• Contribute to evaluation of the SCHN RPP through data collection and reporting.
