Job summary

Macquarie University Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Respiratory and Endoscopy teams, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a leading academic health setting.

This role supports both respiratory and endoscopy nursing, offering ongoing education, career development, and a culture of continuous improvement within Australia’s integrated health sciences centre.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an RN with AHPRA and no conditions.
• Experience in respiratory nursing or endoscopy/procedural care is preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for respiratory conditions, assessment, monitoring and education.
• Prepare and support patients undergoing endoscopic procedures with safety and dignity.
• Develop care plans and evaluate outcomes with the multidisciplinary team.
• Administer medications including procedural sedation per protocols.
• Maintain competency with respiratory and endoscopy equipment and setup.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory management and post-procedure care.
