Job summary
Queensland Health's Cairns Hospital Endoscopy Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team. You will assess, prepare, educate and admit patients for endoscopic procedures, assist with procedures and monitoring, and provide recovery care and discharge education.
Join a dedicated unit with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to infection control and quality processes, and support high‑risk theatre cases.
Responsibilities
- Assess, prepare, educate, and admit patients for endoscopic procedures.
- Assist with endoscopy procedures, sedation, and patient monitoring.
- Provide post-procedure recovery care, discharge education, and documentation.
- Support specialised and high-risk procedures, including theatre-based cases.
- Undertake endoscope reprocessing and contribute to infection prevention and quality management processes.
