Legal Aid NSW invites applications for a Respectful Workplace Support Advisor. Based in Central Sydney with flexible work arrangements, this temporary full-time role supports employees and managers to navigate workplace behaviour concerns and access appropriate support.
You will combine confidential support, stakeholder engagement and capability building, using sound judgement and empathy to identify when referrals are needed to specialist pathways.
We stand beside people when they need it most.
At Legal Aid NSW, fairness isn't just a legal principle, it shapes everything we do - our culture, our services, our workplace and our decisions.
Since 1979, Legal Aid NSW has provided legal advice, support and representation in criminal, family and civil law, helping people across NSW navigate hardship and complex legal issues. Our work is challenging, but deeply meaningful.
In partnerships with LawAccess NSW, Community Legal Centres and the Aboriginal Legal Service NSW/ACT, we are located throughout the state including our Central Sydney office, 25 regional offices, and satellite and outreach offices.
Our People & Culture function plays an important role in making sure those people can access practical, reliable and responsive support when they need it.
Legal Aid NSW is modernising how People & Culture works. We are building a more connected and responsive service model, using better technology, clearer service pathways and stronger insights to make HR simpler, more consistent and easier to access for employees and leaders.
Respectful Workplace Support is a key part of the new Organisational Capability & Performance function, connecting practical employee support with prevention, education, manager capability and early intervention. As a Respectful Workplace Support Advisor, you will help foster a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace across Legal Aid NSW by supporting employees and managers to navigate workplace behaviour concerns, access appropriate support and take constructive early action.
This varied role combines confidential support, stakeholder engagement and capability building, requiring sound judgement, empathy and the ability to identify when matters need referral to specialist support pathways.
You are a people-focused professional with experience in workplace behaviour, employee support, HR, organisational culture, conflict resolution, or a related field. You can confidently support employees and managers through sensitive workplace matters while remaining practical, impartial and solution focused.
You are a strong communicator who can facilitate conversations and education initiatives, build positive relationships, and use feedback and insights to strengthen respectful workplace practices and prevention activities.
Here, every role has purpose.
Whether you're delivering frontline legal services or strengthening our organisation from behind the scenes, you'll help create fairer outcomes for the people across NSW.
We're building a workplace where every culture, identity, ability and voice are included and valued. We welcome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with visible and invisible disability, culturally diverse communities, and LGBTQI+ communities so you can connect and flourish at every stage of career.
You will be part of a diverse and inclusive organisation, working alongside like-minded and values driven people dedicated to justice, community impact, and delivering exceptional support and service through cross collaboration.
As an employee of Legal Aid NSW, you will have access to and enjoy a variety of support and benefits so you can thrive professionally and personally. You'll love our:
Flexible Working - we are a Flex Ready certified and Carers and Employers accredited organisation. We are leading the way in offering a variety of flexible working options to uniquely support your unique work life balance.
