Job summary

Synergie Australia seeks 2 General Labourers with forklift experience for day shifts in Greenacre, starting immediately. You will perform general labouring and waste management duties, including forklift operations, within a team on site.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months forklift experience, a current licence, and comfort using radios and basic computer tasks. Temp-to-perm opportunities exist for the right person with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months forklift experience.
• Current driving licence Class 1 (NZ) / Class C (AUS).
• Forklift licence required.
• Strong computer basic skills and weighbridge software familiarity.
• Desirable: experience in Waste Management industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labouring and waste management duties, with some forklift operation.
• Operate a forklift to move, sort and dispose of waste safely and efficiently.
• Sort and handle materials such as paper and plastics, loading products into containers.
• Use a radio and WhatsApp to communicate with the team.
• Complete basic computer tasks, records and paperwork accurately.
• Operate a baler as required.
• Assist with preparing plant, machinery and work areas.
• Maintain clean and tidy work areas, equipment and surroundings.
• Follow all site safety procedures and client requirements.
• Provide professional and reliable service while working as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform general labouring and waste management duties, with some forklift operation.
• Operate a forklift to move, sort and dispose of waste safely and efficiently.
• Sort and handle materials such as paper and plastics, loading products into the appropriate containers.
• Use a radio and WhatsApp to communicate with the team and coordinate daily activities.
• Complete basic computer tasks, records and paperwork accurately.
• Operate a baler as required.
• Assist with preparing plant, machinery and work areas.
• Maintain clean and tidy work areas, equipment and surrounding areas.
• Follow all site safety procedures and client requirements.
• Provide professional and reliable service while working as part of a team.

Essential:

At least 6 months of hands-on forklift experience

Minimum Current driver’s licence (Class 1 (NZ); Class C (AUS)

Forklift Licence

Technical skills are required - particularly in computer use and communication. Our weighbridge operations rely heavily on both, so we need someone who is confident using the radio and engaging on platforms like WhatsApp

Desirable:

Computer literate enough to work with weighbridge software

Experience with Waste Management industry
