Job summary

Ora Banda Mining Ltd is seeking a resource development geologist to assist with drilling programs, logging, and data management as part of our growth to become Australia’s next 300 koz gold producer. You will support field-based activities, contractor supervision, and QA/QC processes in a dynamic mining environment.

The role requires a Geology degree, 2–4 years’ experience, and proficiency with Leapfrog and QGIS.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Geology qualification is required.
• 2–4 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within mining operations.
• Class C WA manual driver’s licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist project geologists with resource definition drilling programs and planning.
• Supervise drilling contractors and ensure sampling practices meet company standards.
• Perform geological logging of drill core and chips with graphical logs to standard.
• Assist with drill hole data validation and QA/QC for JORC‑compliant estimations.
• Maintain geological databases and reporting for daily/monthly updates.
• Contribute to safety inspections and environmental management at drill sites.
• Capture geological knowledge to support transition to operational and mine planning teams.
