Job summary
Regis Resources is seeking an experienced Resource Development Geologist to support drilling programs at the Duketon Gold Operations, located about 130 km east of Laverton, WA. The role contributes to defining gold resources and collaborates with Exploration, Resource Estimation and Mining teams.
Featuring an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth, the position offers a strong balance of site time and lifestyle in a premier Australian gold mining region.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Geology or related discipline.
- Sound knowledge of mineral systems, especially orogenic gold.
- Experience with geological logging and interpretation.
- Familiarity with GIS and 3D software packages (Leapfrog, Micromine, ArcGIS).
- Open pit and underground operations experience is highly regarded.
- Strong focus on safety and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure work programs are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Supervision and geological logging of resource definition drilling programs.
- Data capture and loading, ensuring data is accurate and validated.
- Report drill results or significant finds to management promptly.
- Production of periodical internal and external technical reports as required.
- Provide input to mineralisation delineation, resource assessment, and geological modelling.
