Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. in Port Douglas is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and service across our resort accommodations.

You will lead a team to ensure guest rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces meet meticulous cleanliness targets. Responsibilities include delegating workload, managing stock and reporting discrepancies, conducting quality checks with Front Office, planning weekly rosters with the Housekeeping Manager, and maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar hotel role.
• Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and safe chemical handling.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean hotel rooms including sleeping quarters, kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms while upholding housekeeping standards.
• Delegate workload to ensure rooms are refreshed promptly.
• Control stock and report discrepancies to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Quality check rooms and liaise with Front Office to release for occupancy.
• Plan and implement weekly rosters in consultation with the Housekeeping Manager.
• Observe precautions to protect guests and property.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues to improve the guest experience.
