Job summary

Monaco Apartments is seeking a reliable Grounds Person/Handyman for a well-established holiday resort in Queensland. The role involves hands-on maintenance of apartments, facilities and common areas, including groundskeeping, cleaning and preventative tasks.

The successful candidate will be organized, capable of working independently and maintain a welcoming environment for guests and owners. The position covers a range of duties from gardening and property presentation to routine cleaning and

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds, maintenance or facilities upkeep.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Friendly and professional manner with guests and contractors.
• Strong problem-solving skills and practical maintenance approach.
• High attention to detail and pride in well-presented property.
• Reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic.
• Physical fitness for manual work.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely.
• A current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Gardening and landscaping duties.
• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of resort grounds and facilities.
• Pressure cleaning pathways, outdoor areas and common property.
• Rubbish removal and bin management.
• BBQ cleaning and maintenance.
• Daily cleaning of common areas and guest facilities.
• Pool and spa testing and minor maintenance.
• Assisting with upkeep of recreational facilities and shared amenities.
• Completing scheduled maintenance tasks.
