Job summary

Palm Lake Group is seeking a committed Groundskeeper for Palm Lake Resort in Bargara. This part-time role is 32 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, maintaining gardens, lawns and outdoor areas to keep the resort safe and visually appealing for residents and visitors year-round.

You will bring a C class driver’s licence, gardening experience, and preferably a Cert III Horticulture. An ACDC chemical licence is advantageous; physical ability and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining gardens, lawns and outdoor spaces.
• C class driver’s licence required.
• Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous.
• ACDC chemical licence is advantageous.
• Physically able to bend, lift and carry as required.

Responsibilities

• Hedge and tree trimming to maintain neat borders.
• Mowing, edging and whipper snipping of lawns.
• Weed and pest control using herbicides.
• Raking and removing leaves; pruning and disposing of dying vegetation.
• Planting, mulching and maintaining flowers, shrubs and irrigation systems.
• Oversee outdoor presentation of facilities, including BBQ and pool maintenance.
• Ensure all equipment and tools are kept in good working order.
