Job summary

Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort in New South Wales is seeking a proactive Food & Beverage Manager to oversee daily restaurant and bar operations and lead the F&B team. This full-time role primarily covers evening shifts with weekend work as required.

The successful candidate will ensure exceptional guest experiences, promote offerings, and collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain service standards and compliance across RSA and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 12+ months supervisory or managerial experience in a similar role.
• 3+ years’ experience working in a restaurant or hotel environment.
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.
• Solid understanding of alcohol service (preferred but not essential).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
• High level of self-motivation, confidence, and leadership capability.
• Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar qualification (preferred but not essential).
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure smooth, efficient, and professional daily operations of the restaurant & bar.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the property’s food and beverage offerings to promote to guests.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team during service periods to ensure quality service, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
• Supervise, coach, and train Food & Beverage Attendants, fostering a high-performing team.
• Manage staff rostering, workflow, and service standards to ensure operational efficiency.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with RSA, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and reporting as required.
• Drive guest satisfaction, service excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
